Build an online business
With all this talk about recession, more and more people are thinking how they could work for themselves. Just now, with all the bankruptcies out there, more people are looking at working online.
Certainly, the internet is no easy track to riches. It is just like any other business – although the internet is not a business, just a method of selling, like media advertising. But you can use the power of the internet to make money. How?
Find a niche
Well, you will want to find subjectsomething that interests you, a topic you would be happy to learn more about. But this has to something specialised, not ‘vacations’ or ‘golf’ or something like that. You need something more special like ‘vacations in Western Australia’ or ‘golf vacations in Scotland’ or ‘ used Callaway golf clubs’.
After you have found an idea what you might market, then you want to know how to do it. One very good way is affiliate marketing, where you market products for a variety of companies – two is enough to start – but you just send prospects to their website and get paid for those that buy. This is a good thing to do, but you need to specialise and do something that few people do.
