Easy At Home Hemroid Treatment

Hemroids are hurtful, embarrassing and a awful day to day condition to have. The good news is, you can treat hemroids at home with the tips we’ll describe below.

Stopping hemroid flare ups is as necessary as treating them when they do happen. Check out the items below and ensure you’re not doing this:

* Enjoying foods that make hemroids inflame, such as caffeine, alcohol, even nuts or spicy things.

* Wiping and rubbing hard after bowel movements

* When on the toilet, straining or pushing

* Standing or sitting in the same place for a long time. Try to move or adjust your position.

If you’re doing any of these things, stop now! These things are making your hemroid symptoms worse! Instead, implement these dietary alterations:

* If other food, in addition to those already listed, make your hemroids worse and avoid it

* Make sure you have enough daily grams of fiber in your diet, or include fiber supplements. It is much easier to eliminate when you have a fiber rich diet.

* Get at least 8 cups of water everyday. That, like fiber, does make it easier to eliminate.

Should your piles become more painful, do everything you can to help allieviate them. If they’re not getting better, they’re getting worse. Try to be proactive.

One of the most common hemroid treatment methods are drugstore medicines, like Preparation H or Tucks medicated pads. Be warned, the active ingredients of some of these medicines advise they may not be safe for long term use.

Investigate if your store has hydrocortisone creams in stock. The anti inflammatory properties will help reduce swelling to the irritated skin of your hemroids.

Many people find a zinc oxide cream, such as that in diaper rash medicines, to be very relieving. They’ll help with quick reduction in pain.

Sprays are also available that have numbing ingredients.

You should also check to ensure that you are patting the area instead of wiping or rubbing once you’re finished using the restroom. Baby wipes are a great product here, as they are gentle on skin.

The numbing and decrease of flare ups produced by applying ice on the area for ten minutes is a great way to relieve pain, and should be done several times per day. Using sitz baths are another treatment. Just resting in bed to prevent muscle strain is a good idea too if your hemroid symptoms are very painful.

Wetness|Moisture} is a bad thing for hemroids, so switch to cotton under things to keep yourself dry. If you’re applying any hygiene products that include dyes or perfumes, stop. They’ll only irritate your hemroids more.
