Dancing Without Dr Martens is Risky for Your Safety

The most amazing shoes I ever wore were Doc Martens. I wore a pair of black 15-eyelet lace up Doc Martens boots. A buddy and I saw to a Nine Inch Nails event at the Staples Center. I recall taking off one of my Doc Martens boot and using it as a way to try and get the attention of Trent Reznor, needless to say that didn’t work. Everyone was pumped and bouncing up and down. The liveliness permeated the building. I’m glad I put my Doc Martens boots back on, because as the guys around me got more excited, and jumped up more and more, this huge guy landed on my foot. But since I was wearing my Doc Martens boots I didn’t feel a thing. My friend was not so fortunate, she was wearing flip flips and some of her toenail came off in all the hoopla.

I advised her whenever you go to a place with lots of folks it’s best to wear boots, preferably Doc Martens because they are really durable. Since the Nine Inch Nails concert I’ve seen Tool, 311, The Pixies and a Nirvana Tribute band, and each time I’ve put on those black Doc Martens and my feet are still awesome. I advise anyone, especially petite girls, going to a rock event to wear boots, and not super soft boots – hardcore, rugged durable boots, like Doc Martens. Even one Doc Marten Boot is worth more than 10 sandals when a 220 lbs man hyped up on testosterone decides to start a mosh pit on your foot.
