Samsung not long ago released a multitude of blu-ray players that replaces its range of effective players. They come with a host of new functions and most significantly faster load times. They all share a slim 39mm profile, although only the BD-C6500 has a promised 15-second boot time.
The Samsung BD-C5500 is Samsung’s budget blu-ray player that is designed as a earth-friendly product and comes with features that many home entertainment fanatic will enjoy. The slim and sleek design, together with its qualities like Internet@TV, Samsung Apps and Adaptive Servo Technology. The one and only disadvantage is that this set is Wi-Fi ready and a separate USB dongle has to be purchased separately for internet connection. This device is a capable Blu-ray player. It also plays DVDs and CDs. But on top of that, if you hook it up to the internet, it becomes so much more than just a disc player. Using Internet TV function, you can download widgets and applications to access material from top services like Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Pandora, Netflix, Twitter, and more.
The Samsung BD-C6500 was awarded an CES 2010 Innovations Honoree award for being the world’s quickest blu-ray player with a 15-second disc load and 15-second boot up time. This exciting Samsung player comes with capabilities related to the Samsung BD-C5500 and even has built-in Wi-Fi.
The next expected step in home cinema would be having 3-Dimensional playback for the home. Samsung is quick off the blocks with the new Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray player. But to enjoy 3D in all its glory you would need a 3D HDTV, a pair of 3D glasses and last but not least 3D content. The BD-C6900 comes with built-in Wi-Fi support and their latest incarnation of Internet@TV, which puts more widgets on your screen and opens up each app much faster. The BD-C6900 includes improved disc load and boot up times, while the 1080p playback reproduces movie images at 24 fps without need for up-conversion.
